In recent years, healthcare services industry has gone through tremendous upheaval as technology and other factors continue to disrupt the delivery model. While steps are being taken to strengthen and transform healthcare in Kenya, as of today, the systems and providers are not yet there.

The Afyabridge Health Institute is a health research Centre based in Nairobi dedicated to advancing health care through research, education, health policy reform, governance and leadership improvement, and patient care. It was established in 2017 to contribute to the advancement of healthcare in Africa, and beyond.

We are made up of a diverse group of researchers, scholars, clinicians, and students with a wide mix of interests and goals. However, one purpose unites us: We care deeply about health, health care and are committed to improving population health.

As we seek to work in partnership with individuals and organizations locally, and throughout the world, we are striving to improve healthcare delivery, reduce disparities, and create high-performing, sustainable health systems.
